POSITION SUMMARY:

Our client has an immediate need for a “hands-on” Manager to manage and coordinate the construction, refurbishment, repairs, upgrades, and commissioning to service natural gas compression facilities and related equipment at company facility installations and/or expansions. The individual will coordinate with the BPD (Business and Project Development) and Engineering groups in an operations liaison role and will be responsible for compression and related equipment scoping inspection, AFE budget preparation support, materials, and supplies procurement, and compression equipment (on-skid) refurbishment, repairs, upgrades, and commissioning that meets project design and operating requirements. The individual will also be responsible, as available, to assist with the supervision of company field operations and maintenance (O&M) of compression, dehydration, and gas treating facilities in the Oklahoma operating area. This position reports to the Manager- Plant & Compression Operations, Maintenance & Construction and is based in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Work is performed in a field environment with a limited percentage of time spent in the office as necessary.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides leadership, takes & manages in a trustworthy and responsible manner at all times, ensuring company policies and procedures are in place and enforced for a safe and efficient construction location or operation.
  • Ensures good communications and responsiveness is maintained with BPD (Business and Project Development), Engineering, Field Operations, Land, Environmental and other groups associated with all projects and operations.
  • Maintain good public relations with outside contractors, vendors, property owners, and governmental agencies associated with construction projects, processing, compression, dehydration, and treating facilities.
  • Assist BPD and Engineering groups, from facility inception to facility commissioning, with scoping and inspection of gas compressors and associated materials and supplies for new projects that meet project design and operating requirements and preparation of cost estimates for AFE budgeting related to compression equipment refurbishment, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Manage materials and supplies (M&S) purchasing for said construction projects, daily processing, compression, dehydration, and treating facilities.
  • Supervise and coordinate the on-skid refurbishment, repairs, and upgrades of compression equipment and commissioning of said equipment at third-party shops, company-owned location(s), or new project installations.
  • Provide feedback to management and engineering regarding the performance of new projects and existing systems to aid in design improvements.
  • Promote and be an active participant in Enerfin Gas Loss Initiative programs at all facilities with other supervisors, managers, and subordinates.
  • Supervise daily activities of company subordinates and provide necessary oversight during construction and operating activities to ensure implementation of best management practices.
  • Ensure training programs are in place, implemented, and tracked to ensure a safe and efficient construction job or operation while maximizing job satisfaction among employees.
  • Plan and direct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities in a manner that will minimize disruptions to normal operations in the Oklahoma Areas of Operation.
  • Oversees operation, isolation, and shutdown of malfunctioning equipment for inspections, repair and or replacement to maximize equipment utilization and minimize downtime in the Oklahoma Areas of Operation.
  • Manage and recommend changes to process/compression controls and equipment to optimize operations while minimizing operating upsets and operating costs in the Oklahoma Areas of Operation.
  • Provide after-hours and weekend supervision of operations, maintenance, pipeline, and measurement personnel in dealing with business disruptions and emergencies in rotation with other supervisors.
  • Ensure coordination of Safety, DOT, and Environmental matters with the appropriate manager, and actively encourage and enforce compliance by all reporting personnel.
  • Other activities and tasks as identified by Management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 15 years of natural gas processing, compression, dehydration, and treating facilities operations including construction of such facilities.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the supervision of processing, compression, dehydration, and treating facilities operations personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to take “ownership”; be responsible, prudent & trustworthy with company resources.
  • Demonstrated a sense of urgency, “hands-on” leadership, and ability to motivate subordinates to be “self-starters”.
  • Must possess effective computer, verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
  • Should possess good organization skills, including planning & scheduling of tasks & projects.
  • Experience in M&S purchasing, cost estimation, and preparation of AFEs and related documents and budgets.
  • Understanding of all State and Federal DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulatory requirements affecting company operations.
  • Willing to travel to remote field locations.
  • Possess excellent Motor Vehicle Record.
