Brief Description:

The Machinist will be working on a manual lathe that will be cutting a variety of mud motor parts.

All machinists need to make sure that after cutting each part all measurements are accurate and that all parts are usable. QA/QC all parts before taken out of the lathe.

Detailed Description:

  • Repair all equipment brought to the machine shop
  • Assist in QA/QC procedures during production 
  • Assess worn parts to determine whether they need to be repaired or replaced
  • Document inspections, test results, and repair work done 
  • Ensure the shop space is clean and organized 
  • Ensure that all equipment is clean and in good working order
  • Safely operate a forklift to move equipment around the yard
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Used various measuring equipment
  • Ability to operate an overhead crane 
  • Clear vision to judge near and far distances to maintain awareness of, watch, and report ongoing work activities to coworkers and third party
  • Stay alert and focused including occasional extended work periods 
  • Must be willing and able to be on call after hours and work on weekends
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all designated times 
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in running a manual lathe
  • Must live within a 1-hour driving distance of the shop

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
