We are seeking a hands-on Electro-Mechanical Technician to support assembly and test operations in Houston, TX. This position plays a key role in ensuring that hydraulic, pressure, and vibration systems are assembled and tested accurately to meet operational standards. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. The technician will initially serve as a backup across three test areas, with the long-term goal of transitioning into a full-time pressure test technician.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test mechanical and hydraulic systems in an industrial environment.

  • Serve as backup operator in pressure testing, vibration, and flow loop operations.

  • Work with pressure system components including fittings, tubing, and pumps.

  • Support daily test operations using software such as DAQ systems and LabView.

  • Assist with the setup and teardown of vibration and flow loop test configurations.

  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting of electro-mechanical components.

  • Learn and develop skills in pressure technology, vibration testing, and flow loop operations.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of test results and procedures.

  • Collaborate with engineers and team members to ensure equipment reliability.

  • Adhere to safety and operational protocols in a fast-paced test environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems.

  • Entry-level understanding of electronics, electrical systems, and control systems.

  • Comfortable working with pressure equipment and related components.

  • Proficiency in or willingness to learn DAQ systems and LabView software.

  • Ability to support multiple testing functions with flexibility and attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of mechanical experience in automotive, aerospace, heavy machinery, or industrial equipment.

    • Trade school training or certifications in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance fields.

    • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior hands-on experience with pressure systems, including tubing and pump operation.

    • Familiarity with vibration testing and flow loop technology.

    • Previous employment as a technician in similar industrial settings.

    • Former technicians from contract service providers or direct service firms are strongly encouraged to apply.
