Description:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Project Administrator to support shop and field operations in Houston, TX. This is a contract-to-hire, onsite position in a fast-paced, blue-collar environment, ideal for candidates with administrative experience in construction, oilfield, or industrial settings. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers and field crews to ensure inventory tracking, customer order management, and shop material coordination all run smoothly.
Main Duties & Responsibilties:

Manage inventory flows and track materials moving in and out of the shop.

Track and process customer orders and shipments, ensuring accurate records.

Provide general administrative support to project managers and field supervisors.

Maintain up-to-date records of material usage, shop activity, and delivery statuses.

Support scheduling, document control, and file organization for multiple active projects.

Serve as a point of contact for visiting customers and external vendors.

Ensure clear communication between shop, office, and field teams.

Use tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and UPS shipping systems to complete daily tasks.

Stay proactive and organized in a noisy, industrial shop setting.

Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines and milestones are met.
Job Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of administrative experience in a fast-paced setting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Comfort working onsite every day and interacting with shop and field teams.

Strong communication, organization, and multi-tasking abilities.

Prior experience tracking materials, shipments, or supply orders.
Minimum Qualifications:

1+ year of administrative or project support experience.

Experience in a blue-collar or industrial environment.

Familiarity with basic inventory and customer order tracking.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a construction, oilfield, or heavy equipment setting.

Familiarity with project costing or job tracking systems.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
