Description:
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join a growing team responsible for repairing and maintaining specialized production equipment, including orbital welding machines, Lincoln welding systems, and other high-voltage machinery. This is a contract-to-hire, onsite position based in Plano, TX, ideal for candidates with strong hands-on repair experience in industrial or fabrication environments. The role also includes occasional travel to client sites, including Department of Defense locations.
Main Duties & Responsibilties:

Diagnose and repair orbital welding machines, Lincoln welding systems, and other high-voltage production equipment.

Troubleshoot electrical and electronic malfunctions using industry-standard tools and methods.

Support day-to-day maintenance and reduce downtime by responding quickly to repair needs.

Collaborate with a tight-knit team of technicians to manage the increasing workload efficiently.

Travel occasionally to client sites for on-site repairs and diagnostics (e.g., Rhode Island).

Work a regular day shift (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday) with occasional overtime.

Maintain a safe and organized shop environment, adhering to internal safety protocols.
Job Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience repairing industrial production equipment (not facilities maintenance).

Strong hands-on expertise with high-voltage systems, welding machines, and electrical troubleshooting.

Experience specifically with orbital welding and Lincoln welding equipment.

Ability and willingness to travel as needed for service assignments.

Excellent problem-solving and technical diagnostic skills.

Strong communication and ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as an electronics or electrical technician.

Proven history of repairing and maintaining production equipment in a shop or fabrication setting.

Ability to perform detailed diagnostics and independent troubleshooting of complex machinery.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in heavy fabrication or industrial manufacturing settings.

Familiarity with DoD clients or government standards in repair and service roles.

Prior employment with welding equipment manufacturers, fabrication firms, or aerospace contractors.

Willingness to travel for short-duration service trips and represent the company professionally on-site.
