Technicians perform a variety of services including but not limited to: precision meter calibration services for our retail petroleum customers. They also perform minor maintenance on these systems. The Client is currently searching for highly motivated persons willing to be trained and help support the Calibration testing work of our South Jordan, UT-based crews. This is a training position that is a great opportunity for anyone open to learning a new skill and having long-term growth within a company.
DUTIES
- Major responsibilities include assisting the foreman with equipment set up, site preparation, meter calibrations, and minor gas station maintenance.
- Others include but aren’t limited to driving a company-owned motor vehicle (CDL not required)
- Performing the work per company safety protocols; and eventually working toward becoming a foreman, getting your own truck & managing a work crew.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Mechanical Background a plus
- DOT physical every 2 years; drug/alcohol screening done randomly; motor vehicle check semi-annually.
- Must have a clean driving record and a clean drug screen prior to hire. Drug-Free Workplace.
- Occasional to frequent lifting up to 10-50 lbs. (1 technician); up to 100 lbs. (2 technicians)
- Frequent kneeling, bending, handling, reaching, and standing.
- Driving comprises approximately 25% of the responsibility.
- Extended overnight travel is required.
