JOB SUMMARY:
The Production Planner position compiles and maintains material and parts inventory and status information to expedite the movement of material and parts between production. Must read production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine efficiencies and quality of types and quantities of materials required availability of stock and order priority. Performs programmed, routine assignments and creates standard work procedures for others to follow. The Production Planner issues technical opinions and directions to managers from approved notes or manuals containing technical procedures and details from the manufacturer’s catalogs, drawings, and other data relative to operations, maintenance, and service of equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills
- Computer proficiency in PC-based applications including Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to new software programs.
- Communicates sufficiently to communicate in a clear, understandable manner.
- Conflict Resolution and Problem Solving experience
- Knowledge of production processes and flow of product
- Must be able to be effective in a fast-paced environment
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
Experience
- 5 years of previous experience in an industrial manufacturing process environment.
